Q. Is Ccube really free?
A. Yes. It's free. Your free membership is loaded with 60 nationwide (US and Canada) minutes each month. You can earn 30 extra minutes for each person referred to Ccube. Remember, you can spread your minutes and use them between all four of your (IC) calling tools.

We offer paid plans for power users and small businesses who need more than 60 minutes a month.

Q. How do you ensure privacy?
A. Ccube hides your private phone number from the person you connect with. On their caller ID, they see a Ccube number.

You decide when to receive calls. Set invitation only option to accept or reject callers. Put all Ccube calls and invitations on hold. Block unwanted callers. We ensure that you have total control of your privacy.

Others only see your public information such as your keywords, age group, picture, rating, time when you receive calls etc. Please read our privacy policy for more information.

Q. What number will be displayed in caller ID?
A. A Ccube phone number, not your private number.

Note: To ensure your privacy, make sure your message or answering machine does not provide personal information you wish to keep private.

Q. Can I use Ccube as a virtual telephone number?
A. Absolutely.

Post your personal Call Me On Ccube button or Ccube Username (e.g. www.ccube.com/usa/in/chattycathy) without any fear on classified ads, other (social networking) sites, blogs, email signatures etc. A simple click lets your readers find and talk to you on the phone (without joining Ccube) while keeping your phone number private.

Detailed instructions on posting the two lines of html code for Call Me On Ccube button on most popular sites, can be found in "Generate Call Me Code" menu under "Member Area". You can post your button on any site that lets you write html code.

Q. Can visitors call me without joining Ccube?
A. Absolutely. When you post your Call Me button on your blog, social network or email signature etc. visitors who see it, can call you without registering for Ccube service.

Q. Who can become a member?
A. Anyone (15 years or older) with an email address, and a phone number can create a quick, easy & free profile to become a member.

Q. Can I change my personal phone number and still use my Ccube account settings?
A. Yes. Calls are routed to the (new) number specified on your Profile screen.

Q. How do I upload my picture?
A. Click on Browse button next to the picture display on Profile page, and select the image file to upload.

Click on Save Profile at the bottom of the page to upload your image.

Q. What are the allowed formats for picture uploads?
A. jpg, gif etc. When you upload a picture make sure it displays correctly.

Q. How do I recover a forgotten password?
A. Click on forgot password from the home page, give us your email address, and we'’ll email you your password.

Q. How do I find other members on Ccube?
A. Search by keywords is available to members only. Type in the keywords (what you are looking for) in search box on home page and click "Search".

Visitors can search someone by typing in all or part of the username and click "Search By Username".

Q. Who shows up under "Matches"?
A. "Matches" online will show you list of matches based on both your interest keywords and search preferences.

"My Connections" on the phone will list people (based on both your interest keywords and search preferences) who are available to take your call at that time.

Q. How do I call someone on Ccube?
A. Ccube provides four nationwide call solutions in Communicator Toolbox:

  • Web Communicator - Talk to other members over the phone privately.
    You can talk to anyone listed under your "Matches" when he/she is available to take calls by simply clicking on "Call Now" link online, or calling Ccube number and selecting "My Connections".
  • Call Me Widget - Hide your phone number and allow others to call you nationwide.
    Post your widget on blogs, social networks or classified sites, email signature etc.
  • My Keypad - Free nationwide calling when you know the # you want to call.
    Just enter any known long distance numbers like family and friends and click "GO" to call free.
  • Virtual Calling Card - A replacement for plastic calling cards.
    Email a giftable alternative to plastic calling cards for free nationwide calling and WOW someone. Receiver can click on the card and enter any number nationwide US and Canada to call free.

Q. Who shows up in my "Favorites"?
A. Every member you connect for over 2 minutes, is added to your "Favorites".
You can also add anyone to your "Favorites" from call logs page by clicking on "Add".

Q. What is voice profile?
A. It contains who you are, what your interests are, and what are you looking for anything about you that you choose to share with other callers. A voice profile is in your own voice, recorded over the phone. It can be up to 15 seconds long.

Q. What is voiceKey?
A. voiceKey is a plain, simple word assigned to you as your spoken password over the phone. It matches your identity with your phone number. Someone else using your telephone won’t be able to call Ccube and get connected since they won’t know your voiceKey.

Q. What is the call window?
A. It is the time window during which you wish to receive phone calls from others. You can make calls to other buddies 24/7 and we'll present you a list of members available to take your call at that time.

Q. What can I have in my keywords?
A. You can have practically anything here: your interests, location, skills, what you are looking for etc. No comma is required between two words if they are spaced separately.

You can modify this field online as frequently as you like, and find connections with different interests or geographic locations the next time you call or view "My Connections" online.

We recommend that you do not store any personal information such as phone number or addresses in this field, and that you do not use inappropriate language. Please read our guidelines for more information on such restrictions.

Q. When are my search preferences used?
A. "Matches" will filter records based on your interest keywords AND search preferences both online and on the phone. By default your search preferences include both genders, all ages, all zip codes, and all area codes.

Q. I would like to receive calls only from members I approve first, is it possible?
A. Absolutely. You should check the box Connect by Invitation Only on My Ccube. When others want to connect with you, they need to send you an invitation. You would then be able to Accept (or Reject) incoming invitations online or on the phone and connect.

Q. How do I talk to the same friend (again) - one I had connected with earlier?
A. If you connected with another member for over 2 minutes, they are added to your "Favorites" list. Call the Ccube number when he or she is available. Say "Favorites" on main menu after voiceKey verification. A list of all your (available) favorite friends will be presented. Select the one you wish to talk.

Q. My conversation with someone did no’t go well and I do not wish to be connected to that person again. Is there any way I can block them?
A. Absolutely. Just add that person to your "Do Not Connect" list from the call log page online at Ccube and you will never be connected with him or her again.

Q. I don’t agree with feedback comments from one of my friends. Is there anything I can I do about it?
A. You have the ability to accept or reject publishing feedback comments other member leave for you. Though their rating for you on a scale of 1 to 4 still counts towards your cubeScore regardless of your action, you get to choose which feedback comments should be displayed on your public profile.

Q. What options do I have when I finish my free minutes?
A. 1.You can wait for your next cycle start date to get your free monthly minutes again.
2. Click on the Refer Friends or Send Virtual Calling Card and get 30 free minutes for each referral.
3. Click on the Change Plan and provide your payment information to upgrade.

Q. Are there any referral bonuses?
A. You bet. We like to grow our community by word of mouth. Every friend you refer earns you 30 FREE minutes when he or she joins Ccube.

Q. Why am I getting this message telling me that I have not joined Ccube when I call Ccube number?
A. If Ccube cannot identify your phone number, or if your caller ID is suppressed, you will get this message. If you have in fact joined Ccube and created your profiles online (and over the phone), dial *82 to enable caller ID before calling Ccube again.

Q. How do I cancel my membersip?
A. If you simply do not wish to receive any emails, invitations and phone calls, we suggest you check "On Hold" box on My Ccube page.

To remove your account from Ccube, please send a note to help at ccube dot com from your registered email address with the word remove in subject.
